FAQ

Oratovia is a small faith-based lifestyle brand making things to help everyday prayer feel a little more possible. Devotional journals and scripture cards, with wax melts and candles on the way, all made with reverence rather than polish. You can read the full story on our About page.

Everything we make is rooted in Christian scripture and prayer, but you don't need to have it all figured out to use them. Whether you've prayed every day of your life or you're just starting to wonder, there's a place for you here.

Each journal is a 40-day devotional built around a single theme: things like love, stillness, trust, or rest. Every day gets its own full page to write on, so there's real room to reflect, not just a cramped box to tick. Each book opens with an original prayer to begin your 40 days.

Not at all. Each journal stands alone, so you can start wherever speaks to you. That said, many people like collecting the full set as it grows.

For now, only on Amazon. Use the "Buy on Amazon" button on the journal's page here, and it will take you to the Amazon listing for your country.

The New Beginnings deck has 40 verse cards, all from the World English Bible, each with a travel-poster illustration of somewhere in God's world. Each journal in the series will have its own deck.

However suits you. Pull a card each morning, keep it on your windowsill and swap it when it speaks to you, or dip in whenever you need a moment of stillness.

Good question, and honestly, one we take seriously. A wax melt is a small piece of scented wax that you gently warm (not burn) to release fragrance into a room, usually in an oil burner or electric wax warmer. It's not a candle, and it's definitely not an edible treat. A friend of mine actually bit into one once, thinking it was chocolate, and that's genuinely how I learned wax melts existed. So, please don't do that.

Pop a piece into the top dish of a wax warmer or oil burner, then either light a tealight underneath or switch on an electric warmer. As it gently heats, it releases fragrance into the room. Once you're done, let it cool and harden again. You can usually get a few uses out of the same piece before it's spent.

Yes, you'll need either a tealight oil burner or an electric wax warmer to use them. If you don't already have one, we'd recommend picking one up before your wax melts arrive.

Always keep any warmer (whether tealight or electric) out of reach and never leave it unattended. Treat it the same way you would a lit candle.

Physical orders are typically processed within 3-5 business days before dispatch. UK orders usually arrive within 2-5 business days of dispatch, and international timings vary by destination; see our full Shipping Policy for details. Journals are sold and shipped only through Amazon for now, so their delivery times and tracking are Amazon's own.

Physical items bought directly from us (scripture cards, candles and wax melts) can be returned or exchanged within 30 days of delivery; see our full Refund Policy for how. Digital downloads, like the Prayer Board Kit, can't be returned once the download has begun. If a file doesn't work, get in touch and we'll fix it. The New Beginnings journal is sold through Amazon, so journal returns follow Amazon's own returns process rather than ours.

Yes, where available. International orders may take a little longer to arrive, and any import duties or customs fees are the customer's responsibility (see our Shipping Policy). The journal ships wherever Amazon delivers to, so check its Amazon listing for your country.
